Receiver
Marantz SR-780, 80 watts x 5 channels (high current)
Dolby Digital signal processing, LucasFilm Cinema ReEq
A small Sony color TV sits on the order desk next to the equipment rack and is connected to the output of the receiver.  A "video" signal is fed from the DVD player through the receiver to this monitor.  In this manner, a "run through" of the DVD menus can take place before the projector is turned on.  The receiver On Screen Displays can also be monitored since they are not fed to the projector.

Speakers
Atlantic Technology 370 THX set
Speakers are wall mounted, surrounded by black velvet view blocking panels so they are nearly invisible to the eye.  Dipole surround speaker locations can be seen in the various photographs.  Monster Cable 12 gauge speaker wire is used.

Velodyne FSR-18 (HGS-18) Sub Woofer
A single Velodyne FSR-18 servo controlled sub is used.  It resides in a corner to the left of the screen, and tucks neatly under an Old English desk, going almost unnoticed.  Tests showed this to be the optimum location.  A Berhringer Feedback Destroyer Pro (digital parametric equalizer) is used to remove a 16 db room spike at 42 Hz.

Projector
Telex P1400 LCD Front Projector
This unit has 1400 ANSI lumens output along with a built in high performance line doubler/scaler.
1024 X 768 native resolution.  Accepts all HDTV formats to 1080i.

DVD Player
Toshiba SD-5109
The component outputs are used,  feeding direct to the Telex projector using a Better Cables Ultra Component cable.  Since nothing is fed to the projector except DVD movies, there is no need for switching with the receiver.
